Spray painted it red because I think its hard to see the lines on the camera off my phone.

You made yourself a whoole lot of unnecessary work using filler on the entire dash. If you are finishing the dash with paint the best option would to have smoothed/blended the filler into the dash where you added gauges after really scuffing that area of the dash with 40 grit so it would stick. Then coat it a few times with a high built primer which will build your surface up a couple mm's. wetsand and paint.
