Hmm another confusing post. Atleast the topic matches the question in the post...

So to make sure I understand, sounds like you want to weld up a custom bracket to hold what I am guessing is an aftermarket seat you bought for your 240sx, and you're wondering what angel and size of holes you should drill for it...

Well I think this comes to a matter of comfort, the bucket of the seat should be face back at a slight angle, but not so steep of an angle it cuts off your blood circulation from your legs. You'll want to most likely make a square frame for stability, or at least I would. As far as the holes, if you have the bolts measure them, and make it a bit bigger the bolts themselves so the bolts will fit through it.

Now if you're really concerned about the exact angle, I would look at the passenger side, if you don't have a seat rails on the passenger side, look at another 240SX... You may even be able to get away with the general idea from another car.

I would maybe try using some wood 3 foot 2 by 4s so you could put the seat in and sit on it, and get measurements to where you feel comfortable sitting in the car, then make your brackets so that the seat will be sitting in that same or similar spot.

This same idea will also work for a custom bracket for a OEM seat.

Now if I totally missed the bar on this one let me know, maybe clarify, bring some more information to the post, like what kind of seat you're working with and maybe what holes or angles you are requesting, etc. That will help people know what you're talking about. Right now your posts are kind of vague, and don't have much content for us to figure out what you're asking.

Hope that helps!

yeah sorry im not good at writing probably cause im dumb. anywho. that answers my question somewhat. What i was going to do is like buy two pieces of metal weld on the mounting metal onto each end of the metal pieces. Then measure where my original seat sits then drill out the holes for my seat so that it always sits in the right position. But as you said i should make it a square for stability?

Naw, you're not dumb, dumb people put nos energy drinks in their gas tank. It just sounds like you describe everything as if we could see what you're talking about. But you have to remember, we don't see what you're talking about, so just saying you're going to put two pieces of metal on other parts of metal, doesn't give us to much of an idea. I am not trying to be mean or anything either, rather just trying to help.

Anyway, I think you could get away with just using a rail on each side. I mean just me personal, I'd put something between the 2 rails just for stability. either make it a square, or a H style, but that's just me and I have never made a seat brackets myself, so it may not be necessary at all. But it's your butt sitting in that seat everyday, and it has to take the weight of your body jumping in to it day after day. You may want to even look at going with an L bent bar, or a [ bent bar for the additional stability. I think if you were to look at the OEM seat brackets, if I not mistaken they are stamped curved, this is done for the added rigidity it adds.

Well i was thinking maybe there is a bracket that will fit my seat. My seat is a rampage bucket seat bought from a local shop. The brackets that came with it bolt on by 4 bolts 2 for each rail. looks like this. Are there any bracket that fits that or that i can just drill 4 holes into?

I am not aware of any pre-made bracket setup you could get. I think you'd be better off fabricating your own. Some one else would have to chime in about a pre-made setup.
