They just blacked out the center panel.

Looks pretty clean, but I'd prefer to paint the center panel body colored.

Those look like the S14 JDM tails, I saw a set on EBAY for $25 shipped from Japan, the only thing wrong with them is they have a small crack on the right side corner lamp, and they wont pass Japanese inspection.

There is no difference between the usdm and jdm tails. I have never seen the orange reded out like that, but that's what I've always wanted. I just have no idea how to do it or where to get tails like that, not that I'd pay 400 for them anyway.

well if you spray the onside, then it will look flat black, and if you spray the inside then it will look exactly like jspec car. So its up to you.

Same rule applies on small model cars, if you paint the outside window, it will look like its flat black and nasty, but if you paint the inside of the window, it will look like you have very dark tints and you can still se that its a window.

not necessarily...

you cant spray the inside, to take them apart would involve breaking the lamps. and it depends on how you paint them... if you buff them down the'll appear glossy, its like painting a car.

and that yellow car appears to have had the center section just PAINTED black, it just doesnt look like tint to me... tint would leave a little bit of the tail reflector visable in sunlight...

Red Krylon glass paint from an arts store. It'd done on the outside FYI and look at that gloss. You can even see the reflection of me taking the picture on my taillights.

Would not some vinyl take care of this, be less expensive, and reversable?

I just bought a set of taillights that look just like those on ebay for 31 dollars...

thats them right there...hot stuff. Oh and the seller was Chinese, so these may be the real deal, I'll know when I get them in.
