This doesn't concern a 240 but you guys are very smart and I have no clue where to ask this question or any companies to ask near me or anywhere.

I have a car which there are no front bumpers for so I thought about getting it custom fitted. The width of the front is 66.1 inches. Other cars come close to that size ranging from 66.6 - 70ish. What size would be easiest for someone to work with? I would think that the closest size would be best but I would like clarity on this.

you saying nismo isnt smart cuz hes black?! hahanyway - uhh what kind of car is this were talking about because there has to be a kit out there somewhere and also if you cant find a kit try looking for lips a lip would be far cheaper than a whole bumper plus probably wouldent require as much modification. There has to be somthing out there tho. cusom work is expensive -- unless you want to paper mache one like i saw that this one guy did to his honda civic -- oh man i wish i had a camera it looks like he just made a big pice then drilled holes in it it was quite ... interesting *cough* gehy *cough*

How about some more details......What car is the bumper for? When you say bumper, Are you talking about just like a cosmetic cover piece or a full bumper assembly(main structure)?

the car is a 1993 hyundai elantra. there is one kit made by a company in germany but its look the same as stock to me. i am not looking for a cosmetic mod but something with a bigger exposed center to let more air flow into whatever intercooler i decide to go with (most likely whatever a 1g eclipse would upgrade to).

Is that the same one on sharkracing.com? http://www.sharkracing.com/Hyundai/elantra.shtml

If that is the same one your right, it doesn't look to have much room for an intercooler period. But if its made out of fiberglass you could always have it hacked and build something better off of it. Anything is possible with fiberglass:) And buy the looks of the other body styles it still looks like a lot of costum body work would have to be done to get one to fit a 93.

I work for my dad part time and during the summers at his fiberglass shop and I can tell you it wouldn't be possible to make your own bumper. Problem is the tooling cost to fabricate the bump would cost twice as much as the car's current blue book value if not more.

Why put so much money in a 93 elantra???????

Yup that one, the 1993-1995 version. A 1g eclipse intercooler fits with slidge adjustment but I think sometime down the road i'll be upgrading. I'm putting money into a 93 Elantra because its currently all I have. I am still in Highschool and don't even have a job yet so I will barely get by my $50 a month insurance. I refuse to buy a 240 right now because I would must likely end up selling it. I would have to save to buy the car, pay insurance, gas, and then pay to modify it. The pleasure or knowing I own a car would be good however there are problems. It used to be your parents could not take away your car because you owned it (atleast how my relatives said it was). Now Florida has a law that your parents can send away to the state and get it taken away if you refuse to give it to them. Also if you miss 15 days of school you have to goto school 30 days in a row. Thats a month of not driving while you still pay for insurance :( Unfortunately I have parents that would take my license away. I refuse to let my parents do anything except be a partner driver so my insurance is lower. I do want to get a 240 when time allows it which will most likely be when im out of college or halfway through it. My priority right now is make sure I get an education to get a job so I can pay for my hobbies. I just wanna have a little fun along the way. :)

For one thing a 90 240 and a 93 hyundai elantra are two completely different stories.

Now that i know midnights story i can understand.
