i would like to know has anyone else done this..

i am going to take the head flange off a stock KA exhaust mani...

weld it to a stock SR turbo mani...

has anyone done those before... and i know of a guy that can weld these together i just wanna know if i am thinkin realistic of dreams like i usually do haha

Why wouldn't it work?? Take a lot of welding....Look at JGS manifold's or revhard manifolds. That'd be your best bet to copy...Also got to decide about wastegate if you use an external...I got 2 KA mani's I plan to modify later on once my house is built.....Just something to to tinker with and be productive....

The only real problem w/ what you are attempting to do is that they are cast-iron pieces. Welding cast iron is a lot harder to do than steel, I believe. You have to heat up the entire manifold evenly, etc.

And what you are trying to do has pretty much already been done another way... i.e. SSAC bottom mount T25/T28 log manifold. As well as a host of other clones...

ok i just really wanted to make sure what i was pondering was realistic... i think we are going to start this little project this weekend and see how it goes, wish me luck!
