I have decided to update my exhaust. It has been a year since I replaced my stock exhaust with a custom polished 2.25" stainless system with straight-through resonators & mufflers and high-flow cats with an x-pipe.

I dodn't like the resonance at 1,500 RPM, and all of you know that is where the car lives most all of the time.

I have some 14" 4" round resonators, that I will be replacing with a couple 14" offset/offset 4" x 8" mufflers.

This should make the system a bit more quiet in the cabin, but should not hurt the flow of the system.

I am getting them installed tomorrow and I will post my opinion of the difference.

I need to get back to my stealthy mode...

I was thinking of putting sidepipes on mine, like the old corvettes-wonder if they make them long enough to look good on the Q?

something different-may look good with rear spoiler, big bbs wheels-they kinda already look like hotrods with those 2 options already, especially the grillless ones

J ust glue 8 chrome exhaust tips from Autozone to the hood. That will get some attention.

Back on topic:

I am very happy with the muffler change. The car still rumbles a little and you can tell there is a V8 under the hood, but the resonance is now gone. I can load the car up with customers now, and the exhaust is no longer the topic of discussion.

Sounds like nouveau Charger envy.

Is there an Uncle Ben's modified car segment? American Rice?

don't get me wrong, it sounds mean as hell, but i need to tone it down.

Even the wifey thinks it sounds fine now. I jsut replaced the resonators with 14" offset/offset mufflers. I still have the low rumble of the straight-through exhaust, but now there is no drone at 1500 RPM. Well there is a little resonance, but now it is much beter.
