Since MY EGR system is goin all whacky and its probably gonna cost me $300 to fix all that,Im just gonna buy a custom intake manifold that dosnt have any of that on it,I have been wanting to get a new intake manifold and i have seen one from xcessive and it looks pretty good so i will most likely be getting that one but i would like to know some other options as well.Im gonna also have the throttle body ported and polished as well i know there is a guy that you send him yours and he does it if anyone knows who that is as well that would be helpful. If anyone knows of any reviews of the xcessive manifold and i think jgy makes one as well?Which one would be a better choice?Im not really concerned about smog anymore i just want to get all tihs crap off there. What else do you have to remove?I hope there is no big problems when i do this,With idling and vacuum problems.I think just the FPR needs the vacuum,am i right?I want to know everything i can remove.I havent found anything very helpful but you all have helped me with questions ive had

i dont think you'll like the xcessive manifold on your naturally aspirated car.

in my spare time this winter break i hope to fab up my first couple of intake manifolds, i may even buy materials tomorrow, but i need to see if i can sneak them in to my school to tig the aluminum.

otherwise, no one else is making an N/A DE manifold. its possible over this winter, depending on what i see from this guy, a shop south from me will be fabricating my design. the xcessive unit is expensive, but it could be used for N/A if you weld in a peice of aluminum to take up some plenum volume. it owuld be really easy.

brake booster and FPR need vac, and thats all. i have an entirely stock intake manifold that ive removed all the water lines and extra vac from. homemade block offs are easy to make for the EGR and AAC.

d!ck has requested that i do a write-up for removing everything from the stock intake manifold for emissions and idle, and i agreed. as soon as i get a hold of a camera again i'll do it.

I talked to the guy there in OR or WA, whichever he's in about the setup I 'm getting ready to run. HIGH compression, full race head, big injectors, and big staged juice hits. He told me it would be great for the power band and I could put a bigger throttle body on which is important obviously. I guess the usable powerband is really high w/ that manifold. Like 4500-9000 or something. I'll be going to almost 10,000. So unless you build the engine capable of the high RPM's, it most likely wouldn't be much help.

Yeah i love the way the xcessive looks and im gonna be port and polishing the throttle body as well,I just want it to look cleaner and be alot more simple,PLEASE PLEASE tell me when you do that writeup i really really want to see it,I need to know exactly what to do with the lines and things, that go for the EGR and whatnot,I am eventually going to turbo my car and as long as that xcessive manifold works on the na setup even if the gain isnt too much or is in high end then thats allright with me,cause i know its something i wouldnt have to buy again,I have seen another from JGY customs that looks like the greddy one but it looks sloppy and i havent really heard of anyone using it and its more then the xcessive,If you can find any feedback on it or the xcessive let me know,Thanks alot for the replies keep em coming!

It's gonna be a few months before I get the motor running and tuned right..but just pay look at the boards once in a while and I'll post how things turn out. It'll be a monster for sure.
