The next step in my project is to fabricate the intercooler piping, downpipe, and intake piping. I'm about to order the mandrel bends, but I'm not sure exactly how much and what I will be needing. Obviously I'll be using some combination of 2.5" mandrel bent u-bends, straights, and possibly j-bends, as well as a flex section and possibly 3" pipe for the downpipe: but I really dont want to buy more (or less!) than I need.

Soo for people here who have custom built their piping: what did you get, how much, and where did you get the stuff from?

Cost about 200 bucks from roadraceengineering. If I were you I would get some extra pieces anyway just in case you mess up. I had extra stuff after it was all said and done. I got 1 2" j-bend, 2" to 2.5" adapter, 3 2.5" u-bends, and a 2" straight pipe for the ic piping. For the downpipe all you need is 1 3" u-bend and a 3" straight pipe.

it would help if you could buy it locally that way you could take it back if you get too much. thats what i did the first time. recently i redid everything and i orded everything from jcwhitney and i just guessed at the piping and i ended up have exactly what i needed.

2" for half of the hot side and the rest was 2.5 to complete the ic piping.

Cool, most of this sounds about what I thought I'd be needing.

For those guys who did seperatly dumped wastegates, how big of a pipe did you use for that dump tube? I only plan on bringing it back behind the front d/s tire.

I used a 2" and was about 5" long pipe that was welded to my wastegate flange
