Custom Grill idea

I'm working on my "V" again and want to do the grill real soon. Gonna paint the stock one black for time being....

So, I was wondering if anyone has tried retrofitting another car's aftermarket grill to their Versa????
Looks doable; looking at specs - there are several cars w. same dimensions and shape as the "V" in the grill area..
Would change the game for us if we can pull it off without too much headache... options...
Anybody up for it; keep me posted...... I am asking before I try, in case someone has tried w/o desired look or has succeeded and I didn't see it in other posts...

the biggest issue i could think of is the bumper has the pillar in the middle that covers the hood latch assembly, which would show through the mesh.

Only thing i could come up with is to paint it black (if the car isn't already black) so it's hidden more..

Thats a good idea. I own a silver sedan and painted my grille black(including the emblem) so it's hidden more, like you said!
