Custom Front Skid Plate

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of building my own front skid plate for the Q, something like this: http://www.4x4parts.com/i-18979698-path ... plate.html. Anybody have any tips or ideas?

Measure 3 times--- cut 1 time :-)

Make a hole in the center so you can go and change your oil filter without having to remove the whole plate, because if you do it in 3/16 steel, you will find that a 45lbs plate is not exactly easy to remove each time. This is why I went with aluminum..
