Has anyone ever watch monster garage, while the host has another show and he is a chopper, just recently i watched it and i saw him make a fender for a bike, and i am wandering if i found a people that can do that and buy a set of rear wide fenders and have him make a replica with metal, is this possible with a ok bugget(sp?)?

Also what would this person prefesion be called?

I would imagine that any GOOD body shop would have the means to do custom metal panel fabrication but I'd also have to think that it wouldn't be cheap. . . (the custom bikes that West Coast Choppers and such sell are usually D*MN expensive). . .

hmm. . .i'm probably not any use to this thread either. . .

if you find any info then let us know

costom fabricated - sheet metal - wide body kits are expensive -- most body shops charge more for 'costom work' - like molding and sheet metal fabrication - than regular paint - per - at $70 per hour and taking probably at least 30 hours -- very expensive -

that's beside the point . . . whether you're having them make 2 panels. . . 4 panels. . . 12 panels. . . it'll still be expensive. . . they'll be chargin you up the *ss for labor. . . and the better the quality (or skill of the fabricator) the more you'll be paying

You could always make your own out of composites. You can slap on clay and make a mold out of fiberglass that way. Just gotta make sure you've got the same dimensions for both sides. Otherwise not too bad I'd say. Lay down some composites of your choice with some good epoxies, and you should be set. Although it will take a bit of time to make a good clay prototype and to mold it. Then again, it could be easier to buy a premade fiberglass wide body kit panel and to find a local sheet metal shop that has an english wheel to make the metal copies of those fiberglass parts.

A friend of mine took fender flares from a fox body mustang and put that on his '89 240sx fastback for that wider look
