For those who have done a custom exhaust at a shop, is it as good as a brand name exhaust that cost 300 bucks more? A lot of people have been telling me to get a custom exhaust because his cheaper, but i want to know if i can actually get the amount of power out of the car that i can get with a brand name exhaust.

Exhaust alone you won't see much of a power difference between either one. As soon as you start doing a lot of modifications, the brand name cat back system will work better because of the mandrel bends. Most piping done at muffler shops is crush bent, which doesn't allow the flow of a smooth mandrel bend, however, for your application a custom exhaust would probably be better for you. It will be cheaper, you won't notice any difference, and so long as you get stainless steel you'll be in good shape. After that, its just choosing a muffler that will sound good.

To anybody looking to buy an exhaust I recommed the apexi N1 dual. I ordered mine about a month ago from Ken at Enjuku. I was told it was on back order but recieved it in a month. I love the exhaust very easy installation and sounds very nice has a decent low rumble to it. I love it and all of my friends think it's one of the best exhaust they have ever seen. I recommend ordering through Enjuku. They had the best price and the best customer service. Hope this helps!
