So I found out my exhaust is fine all the way to the axle, but one of the mufflers is broken off the pipe. The shop told me they could hook up a straight pipe from the middle to the muffler instead of a stock style curved pipe, which would make it a little louder. Would the straightening give any hp gains at all? I don't mind it being a little louder as long as it keeps the throaty sound and doesn't get too crappy sounding.

There shouldn't really be any sort of significant power gains with a straight pipe. I would make sure you like the tone of the straight pipe though because for some people it is unfavorable. On the otherside, its a cheap way to make your car sound like it actually has balls. (and its really cheap)

How much are they charging for that though?

You can get a full stainless catback exhaust on ebay for $180 shipped, 2.25" piping and will make it sound WAY better (deeper) than stock.

They're actually only charging $100. And I want to keep the quad pipes anyway, so putting my mufflers on the bigger pipes is good enough. Better than the Ebay exhausts IMO.
