1) I'm going to make a down pipe by welding a 90 to a 3 bolt flange. My question is, what flange do I buy for a universal internal waste gate? The bolts measure 2.75 inches between and there is a tapered opening. Is this a common header flange?

2) What size flex pipe should I use and will there be room on the down pipe or does it go under the car?

3) What is the deal with aluminized steel Vs other? I'm not going to bother with stainless.

4) What is a good inexpensive setup for a turbo KA? No fart cans or fancy stuff, just a good basic setup.

Do you really need to use flex pipe? I thought that was for FWD cars because the engine torques front the back and the exhaust needs to be able to pull back and forth.

jgstools has a universal 35/38mm flange for wastegates. the flex pipe for a wastegate dump should be 1.5" if you are talking about the DP then it should be 3". aluminized steel vs other? what are you talking about? as to an inexpensive set-up? how bout a 3" magnaflow muffler for $90 and some 3" piping? cheap, easy, sounds good.
