Custom Exhaust for 3.5 who has?

Hey just wondering on here who has a custom exhaust and if so whats it consists of? any sound clips or vids? Even if its just custom axlebacks let me know

i had one shop do a 2.5" cat-back pipe to the stock muffler for $100. then later on i had a transversal Magnaflow muffler installed for like $240 or $260 and they took off my 3rd cat for me too. since then i put my 3rd cat back on (stupid move on my part) but i'm thinking about taking the cat back off lol i have a clip of when i first got it done but this was like right after i got it done and it sounds that loud with the cat ON now days. but heres a vid, not the greatest vid cuz my friend didn't know how to use the cam but ya

Go to the drivetrain, tuning, and exhaust section...there is a thread with all of the exhausts people have with their different looks/sounds...

Do you have any pictures of it under the car or no the part numbers of the mufflers that where used

sorry, this is the only pic i have and its not that great

and i don't know the part #. if your really interested i could probably call the muffler shop and see if the guy remembers me and ask him (me and my friends went to him several times for our cars)

can you get a measurement of the exhaust im going to see if i can get one similar to that from borla. just need to know dimensions of it. and is it using factory tips?

This is the next thing I'm getting after my head lights. It soumds amazing. You can go to youtube and search altima coupe borla and there are some clips

ya but i dont want to pay $900 for just an axleback, when i can fabricate it myself all i need is to buy the tips and the muffler, i have a pipe bender and ill just weld it up, save me like 700 bucks

Yea that makes sense. I wont be paying full price either. My buddy has a hook up at borla and is getting me that system for $400.

And unfortunetly no he can't hook anyone else up, I allready asked and he said it would be a one time thing.

can you get a measurement of the exhaust im going to see if i can get one similar to that from borla. just need to know dimensions of it. and is it using factory tips?

i couldn't find the measuring tape so i had to do it the old fashioned way with a ruler and mark a line lol it came out to like 17 1/2" to 18". so id just say about a foot and a half wide. it's a lot smaller and lighter then the stock muffler. and no i couldn't use the stock tips because the stock tips on the 3.5se are only 2" diameter or something like that and its pointless to get a 2.5" exhaust and have (2) 2.5" pipes exit the muffler and then get restricted into 2.0" at the tips. right now i have no tips, just painted the pipe black and it looks like i have black tips. ill get tips after i do something to the back bumper..... let me know if you need to know any other measurements besides the width

i hate to make you go measure again but could you grab the height and width of it as well. im looking into a borla its 19inches long so roughly the same as yours just want to make sure it will fit. i dont get my car till wed and i want to order it before then

it should fit cuz mine is tiny compared to the stock one lol but ill go measure it again

its height is 5 1/2" and the width is 8 1/2"

Yes, 3.5 and 2.5 exhaust is the same from axle back so it will fit. It will be somewhat quieter than on a 3.5 though because we have an extra muffler right after the cat if I'm not mistaken.

ya you guys have a resonator after the cat, you can take off the resonator if you want but it'll make it a little more raspy
