I've been reading alot on how to fiberglass speaker boxes and sub enclosures. Something i have always wanted is the flat look on the dash, radio bezel doors and console. One thing i found said you are able to accomplish this with Bondo. Has anyone done this or have any pics? Would this process be using bondo and sanding down, then painting?

When people do this with fiber glass, do they completely make a new dash, or just a molding and mount it to the real dash.

Does anyone have any input on this as the best way to go, or links to some tutorials? Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

You're lookin at makin a whole new dash, door panels, and alot of headaches. If you ever embark on this sort of feat, be prepared to measure ALOT!

By flat look do you mean, without wrinkles and painted. You can spread fiberglass resin over everything and sand it smooth, it will strengthen up everything and allow the use of spot putty that can be used to smooth everything out. Followed by primer, wetsanding, and then a few coats of paint and you'll have a custom dash and so on. I'm doing this soon, but I'm adding a few gauge pods and maybe some other trick stuff. I just finished my gauge trim which I shaved everything off except the the hazard and defrost buttons, with a turbo timer molded in. Its gonna look sick when I get all of it painted a tinted HOK Burple. The exterior will be HOK Black Shimrin Pearl tinted with a black magic clear (color shifting). Its gonna be nut worthy.
