Hey guys I am interested in messing with my dash a little bit and would like to have it look something along the lines of this...

Does anyone know where you would get these kinds of things done?Estimated cost?

Thanks in advanced. :D

Try an upholstery shop or sound system place.

I think that Dash is actually an OEM version for the Tiida in another country. I can't remember which one at this moment, but I'm pretty sure I saw that pic as a new full-extras Tiida...

If I'm right, then you might try searching online for parts in that country (not that easy, but possible)... Who knows, maybe the dealership there might help...

I'll see if I can find the info somewhere...

I guess he likes the idea of the GPS/DVD player... I like it as well... So, I did my research, and it appears to be sold like this in Spain, so that would be the country to start looking...

I like this interior even better:

Maybe he already has a savings plan established and just wants to reward himself by re-doing his dash.

I have no plans in having any kids in the near future. BTW I am only 19! lolI am currently enrolled in college so with the left over money I'd like to reward myself by making my car look amazing and boost the performance as much as possible. :D

I have seen those pics on the internet before... They looks real nice. If only they would stop cheating out over here in North America and provide options like that

I would have to agree.. Put it to something else like performance (tho cant do too much with the Vs engine)

But you could get an after market deck with the gps screen.

When I had my V i personally liked the storage space that was above the deck, and i wouldnt change it to something like that. But to each their own. It'd prolly cost quite a bit to do. Just search around some, you should find some one who can do it, or some way. Tho you'll prolly have to go over seas, which will raise the cost.

Just looking at some options. I'm thinking that maybe I could just get a flip out navi/dvd player (single) so that under the stereo I could have another little den to put some things in..

Not sure yet. So many plans for my V its ridiculous.

I'm thinking in doing the same as you, buying a single din flip out DVD... I'm not doing it for the little storage den though, I'm doing that for security, as sometimes, depending where I park the car, there might be some "bad citizens" that decide to break windows and steal your equipment... That way I could avoid showing off the screen when the car is parked...

The space on the single din kits suck at storing stuff. So unless you custom make it with a cover and stuff to hold, i wouldn't really worry about it, unless you really need a lot of space to store.

Just wondering, do you think I would be able to have a cable go from the back of the radio through a hole in the small din, and still be able to plug and store my iPod in that small din?

I'm sure that you would be able to do this.. do you have the iPod kit that plugs into the back of your stereo?

I have a special iPod "player" that I bought from Best Buy for $50 that works great. It has a display screen that mounts to your dash (wherever you want) and than it comes with a little joystick thing that moves in a circle similar to how you use an iPod. Anyways it works great and its easy so you can keep your eyes on the road while driving and you can hide all those nasty cords. :D

I haven't fully installed mine yet so I still have the cord plugged into the AUX cable but thats a simple fix once I stop being lazy.

i have a single din stereo, an Alpine, and its really easy to put the ipod cord in the little "den."... all you have to do is drill a hole in the back of the "den" when the bracket is completely empty and out of the car of course. just drill a hole big enough to fit the smallest end of the wire through... then feed it through and your done... ill try and get a picture tomorrow close up.

I saw one guy who took the stock stereo out and replaced it with a gps screen/dvd monitor. Then he took out the upper storage bin and put an after market head unit with a dvd player built in. I'm pretty sure he messed around with a bunch of stuff and it probably cost a ton.
