Custom Carbon Fiber

Hello everyone, i was just posting in regards to custom carbon fiber products. I'm in the process of a project were i will be able to have people send in there parts etc.. that they want carbon fiber coated or custom carbon fiber parts they want made. This could also be in high grade fiber glass as well. I was just checking to see if there was a good market like that and to see if you would buy some carbon fiber parts at a relatively great price, because i know carbon fiber does not come cheap.

Thanks for your help i just wanted to get a little poll to see if you would or would not want to get a part custom made in carbon fiber or fiberrglass.

I think this would be a really cool idea if it worked i just need some feedback.Would you want to have custom made parts of your choice made in carbon fiber etc...

I dont want to advertise for my shop on here because it may piss off the NICO owners, but we are located in Indianapolis, IN and its more of a warehouse as of now, we are working on opening a shop very soon.

Yes i do own it, and i own a 95 240sx planning on either selling it and getting an s13 hatchback or doing an rb25det in the s14. Im still deciding but whatever the outcome it will be fun.

I like the thought of making some custom parts. For an idea of what some of the Nico guys would want in terms of carbon-fiber parts, look here...

That's the revelation for now...as soon as the car runs I'll move on to making the CF stuff for it! It's getting closer to running too!!

Well hey if anybody wants some parts made let me know. Maybe we can think of a part that we all could use and i can get a group buy going so that it will be cheaper. Just let me know, for all i can think of is some interior peices we could all agree on or maybe a front lip whatever it is, think of some stuff guys and i will see if it can be done.

Well, on the link I posted a little sooner, it seemed like the most popular item would be a carbon-fiber sun roof. To replace the heavy mess of glass and metal. And about the c/f doors, HPI makes 'em but I haven't found a place that imports them...

Have you guy's priced CF? It's EXPENSIVE...in materials alone it'd cost over 200 bucks...per door. MAYBE less for cheaper CF but it'd still be really expensive

Im working on an interior kit right now when i finish i will take some pics and see if you guys want a group buy for it, that way it will be cheaper. Right now i will be making a kit for a 95+ 240sx if you have requests for an older model please email us [email protected]

200 bucks per door???? damn that is really f'n cheap! i found CF doors before but they were $1000 EACH.

he was talking about parts only.. not including labor.. doors are probally a ***** too.. for daily driivng i donno about doors because they wouldnt be to strong right.. but i think mabey a carbon fiber lip or spoiler or the dash kit would be nice..

CF is strong as hell, did you see the pics of bp2000's car wreck? Everything was smashed except his CF hood.

As I said in nathans thread, CF A-pillars would be nice...they'd go along great with a CF dash and center console. I'd want the drivers side A-pillar with gauge pods tho.

If you send in the peices you want made it would be easier because then we could sand your old pieces down and make an overlay so that way it will be a carbon fiber cover. If you want the parts remade in CF you will have to send in your parts anyway and be a ginnie pig for us on the s13's because we do not have a mold yet. Ofcoarse yours or whoever sends in there pieces in first gets a discount. Anyway let us know, we can also add custom pods holes etc... into your pieces, you just need to let us know.

I dont have that here in stock the real c-west hood, but if you could find a knock were we can purchase it from we can get it and use it as a mold. For this to happen i think a group buy would be the best deal. If you want to start a group buy on this let us know. If you want a custom hood made i can go to a junk yard and find an old s13 hood and make custom scoops etc... in CF.

Everyone -

For those of you that want carbon fiber doors or sunroofs they are not cheap, i dont know how much you guys are willing to spend but just making that stuff is time consuming. We can do it but for the right price, if you are serious about it dont hesitate and ask we will quote you.

If anyone else has any other ideas of small things that can be made that will benift everyone please share with us and we will see what we can do on making them.

A replica Yashio Factory hood be sweet(s13 one) Ill be your ginnie pig! I want a S13 hood, if you need a mold I can send you the hood. An how much for the CF sunroof? One more thing what about CF light housing?

yeah there we go this is what im talking about. so we have to email you for prices or what? i just posted about a horrible crack i just discovered in my dash today and was wondering what i can do about it. interior kit souinds very very nice. headliner too also good. can you do anything for the back seats like hmmm... i cant remember but there is some company that has like fiberglass rear seats or some craziness like that. but they were like $900 i think. when will you start making stuff???? do you want my dash? heh i'll send it. cf or fiberglass whatevers clever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! peace

I would like to see an actual DASH unit out of CF. Not a glue on CF look trim kit, the whole F'n dash unit. That would be sooo cool.
