has any one built a custom speaker box were the spare tire goes? i want to put a sub in my car but i dont want to lose my cargo room due to a large speaker box behind the rear seat. or if any one has a good idea of how to do it or if you can put it under the rear seat that would be cool but i havent really look under the seat and the local speaker shops dont want to do it because it would take to long.

thanks for your time

William

you don't want to lose the cargo space, but you are willing to sacrifice the spare tire? I guess you must be a member of AAA.

maybe he is thinking of replacing the thick styrofoam block between the spare tire and the spare tire access panel and have the sub somewhat reside into the spare tire cavity correct me if i am wrong.

seems kinda easy...remove the everything in the trunk including the spare tire...if you've built custom boxes then you'd know to fiberglass the area where the spare tire goes to get a mold of the sub box...using a flat piece of MDF, place it on top of the mold and fiberglass it together...now u have ur box...i would mount the amp in the top area on the trunk (next to the trunk light) that way its not taking up space...
