As I am unhappy with what I have seen for 240sxs as far as body kits I've decided to design my own, is there anyone on this site who has done this? Cuz done tips and pointers would be helpful, thanks

If your talking about the games than carbon, prostreet, undercover and I think shift have autosculpt Which is an okay jumping off point but it's too basic and boring, I'm talking about something more along the lines of veilside's fortune kit, but for a 240sx I'm just looking to find out how to get it from page to thr car

I read some stuff where people carve the kit out of some sort of foam. Then they use that foam piece as a template to lay down fiberglass. It looks really difficult, but I alos have no fiberglassing experience.

I was reading up on this stuff because I was thinking about making a custom rear valence or something at one point. Anyway, let us know what you find out.

Yeah the foam route is a pretty hard way to go when molding a bodykit. But it probably yields the best results.

I was gonna suggest the old blankets and wood method. But i dont know how good a body kit you could create using this way.Blanket will probably work well for the overfenders/fenderflares and maybe the sideskirts, but the front/rear bumper and lip might need something that give you a little more control over what the final design actually looks like.

I was thinking of fiberglassing some fender flares similar to the Rocket Bunny ones. But then i decided to get the car rolling right first before worry about what it looks like. But thats still a project ive got stacked on my backlog, ill get it done eventually.
