Cusco Rear Upper Bar installed pictures???

hi, i recently purchased a rear upper strut bar for my 97 240sx......... i have no idea how to install, i got an explanation from a customer who had purchased the same bar for his 240..... does anybody have pictures of the bar installed in their car? because i still cannot figure out how the bar would go on the strut being that it seems to be surrounded by protective plating from the car..... anyways if u have one in your car u know what im talking about. if u can help please email me at [email protected]

i not sure what you mean by "surrounded by protective plating"...the rear strut bar is not install in the trunk, it is install from inside the car. lower the rear upper seat and then remove the rear speaker covers, the whole deck. from there you can see the top of the struts...

ok here's the pic....you get the idea. i had to make a new cover cause i didn't want to cut the stock covers in order to have the strut bar on...

JIC and NISMO are completly different than CUSCO. i'll post some pictures in just a bit.

cool..if u can post more pics it will be good..cuz my strut is different than the one in the pic..it seams like it would install from inside the trunk...

what brand did you get?

i have cusco and the install is pretty simple. you just look at it, see how it goes, bolt it on, and thats it.

i have tried to help somebody install a cusco copy in his s14, but it would NOT fit properly due to the end plate design.

When installing the cusco bar first remove the huge speaker/rear window tray cover. Then look into the strut tower holes and you will see a slot on each side facing the trunk, that is where your brackets for the bar go through to the trunk. It is impossible to put them in the wrong way because they only fit one way. Good luck.
