Curt 13577 Receiver for 2009 Murano

My 2009 Murano had everything I wanted except a 2" receiver for my bike rack.

After hearing the dealer price for the Nissan hitch, I surfed until I found the Curt 13577. I got it for about $150 at TheHitchStore.com with ground shipping.

I haven't turned a wrench in years, but was still able to install it in under an hour. (U-Haul will sell/install for about $250, still a lot better than the dealer)

It's not as elegant as the Nissan version, but it gets the job done.

Just a note: If you are going to use a hitch mounted bike rack and you have a power liftgate, be sure to put some faom padding on it in case you forget and open the gate. (no, I didn't find out the hard way!)
