Current Real Prices

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I have an EX that I bought in September, and a friend is interested in purchasing one as well (especially when I told him my monthly payments are $588, for Tech, Nav, Prem, Luxe Style packages). I'm doing 0% interest for 72 months.

Have the prices come down since I know that sales for the entire industry are down? I'd like to give him a realistic ballpark as to what he can expect to pay.

Thanks for your help. This forum is awesome.

I've just got my EX on 11/30. Got a great deal at Metro Infiniti (Monrovia, CA). It was $9,500 off MSRP. So, My EX with Nav. Package came out to be $32k.

Just purchased my wife's EX on Christmas Eve. Must say, I think it was a great day to buy a car because I was the only customer in the dealership (Sheehy of Annapolis, MD). Got more money than I thought I could for my trade plus what I think is a very good deal on the EX.

MSRP including freight - $44,535Price Paid including freight - $34,250

that is a great deal, assuming you paid cash or regular financing? not 0% 72mos?my deal was OTD $41k on EX 2WD Nav Lux loaded about 43K MSRP. I took the deal because of 0% 72mos, saving me 7k in interests, i think the selling price was slightly under invoice.

I really can't comment on US pricing since I'm in Canada, but many US members are reporting $7K or more off list.

In any case, Happy New Year and welcome to NICO's EX forum, willember!!

Hi all.. new member here ... Anyway - We ended up taking advantage of the lease offer, so $440/mo +TTL. We ended up with the AWD journey, with Premium, Luxe, and Wood Packages.

So far we are very happy. We are a bit concerned about the cargo capacity in the rear, but the driving experience totally compensates for this!!!

there's been $5,000 in factory to dealer money on these, but it ends this weekend. Only on 2008's. You can buy them for under invoice AND take the $5K off as well, or go for the financing. Either way, you should end up saving $8K to 10K off of MSRP.

I did about 32k with premium, nav, roof rails, splash guards, wood (luxe package?). There's a 5k dealer kickback. Good time to be a buyer.

Welcome to NICO, koza75!!

I'm located in Canada, where we have different numbers and an entirely different market, but from what I've seen posted, you did quite well!

I just heard of a new site that claims to show actual prices paid in the market. The results look really interesting and seem legit to me, but I have no idea how they get their data.

Here is the main site:http://truecar.com/release/index.html

You can enter your location and then select all of your options for the EX (or any car) and see what people have been paying locally, regionally or nationally.

Note: I know we have a lot of Canadian posters here. Doesn't look like they are currently accepting Canadian postal codes (only allows 5 digits in the text box). But they are brand new...hopefully they have that feature soon.

Hey rianklong, Thanks for sharing! Just took a look at that site....I don't know...results are a bit too "general" for me. As you mentioned, not sure where they get their data from.

I know a similar site where I posted my own results (that's how I know it's legit)

http://www.realcartips.com/ Results for EX35 only (only 6 people including myself have posted their results on it as of Feb, 28, 2009): http://www.realcartips.com/200...rices

It's great to use these kind of sites for negotiating.

Your posting caused me to call Metro Infiniti. They gave me the same $9500 off MSRP deal on the only AWD EX35 in stock. I had business in the LA area, finished and drove 1400 miles back home. Much better deal than I found in the Seattle area. Thanks for your posting.

As far as the EX35 goes you picked it up at the right time. The prices went up a bit for March although it wouldnt matter being that you purchased the car on a retail. Also if anyone else is interested I can answer emails or help anyone interested in purchasing an EX or any Infiniti for that matter at [email protected]. Koza call me when you come close to your first service. All the best Joaquin

I have a quote for $34,100 for EX Jouney AWD, premium, nav, wood trim, cargo protector, rail crossbars, and mud flaps. I think I can do a little better. MSRP is 42,875.I can be patient if it will pay off. Does anyone think the 2008 prices will continue to drop or is 8-9000 off MSRP going to be the limit? The dealer says 10,000 of the msrp would be a big loss for them. I don't doubt that, but at what point do they take a loss with older models sitting on the lot?

Check the price of a used EX with 500 miles on it equipped like the one you are looking a then compare it to the price the dealer is offering you. Better yet consider what the real trade-in value would be at the same dealer if you came back the next day and wanted to buy a different car.

Take the used price an add $2K and that is the real value of the car IMHO.

I would be more concerned about my own financial health than the dealer's. They don't have to sell the car if they don't want to.

My question about dealers wasn't concern, but, at what point do they cut their losses with 2008 vehicles on their lot in 2009? I'm looking to take advantage of that point in time. I don't usually buy new, was planning to buy used until I started reading this forum and realized that people are getting new cars for not much more than used ones (the $2000 question is right on the mark). Every dealership who's inventory I have checked, has no less than 10 EX's, and some have as many as 25.

I was able to get 11k off of an MSRP in the upper 42s. I probably needed to steal back a grand though on a crappy trade-in amount they gave me, so take that into account. Obviously that is a good deal on a great but flawed car, but my concern is that the nicer engine in the European model and current G37 is getting put in the EX35 for the US this Fall. And, some things that are currently options will be standard or packaged in a better way that will save the buyer some cash.

All in all though, this engine is enough for me (unless the 2010 model gets better gas mileage; then I'll be sour) and they probably won't be discounting the 2010s as aggressively as they are the 2008s now. It probably all evens out: 2008 with lesser engine and already an outdated model year for '08-09 buyers vs. probably 5 grand more OTD for a 2010 with better engine and some free goodies and maybe more legroom. The reality is that the 2010 may be worth the cost differential, but I didn't have/want to spend the 5 grand extra and unfortunately I needed a car now.

I am paying $577 on same equipped unless you have AWD, mine is 2WD. compare your payment with mine(I am a Dealer myself, zero commission to nobody except Infiniti USA) if yours is AWD, you got a very nice deal back in Sept. 08, eventhough you have 2WD, its still a steal for them, the salesman probably brought $120 home selling $40k car. i guess thats worse than selling a cell phone.... Good deal you got there.
