No, not really. But I _AM_ interested in that _lovely_ hot-air-balloon trashcan! I must have it!

So your spring break was quite eventful, yet not as much fun as you would have liked? Sorry to hear that

What does the engine look like without the plastic cover? Similar to a R33 RB25? I guess I would leave it just to make it 'neo-licious!'

what would be nice is if i could figure out why the car isnt sparking...the irrtating thing is that it has power ground and signal at the coil plugs but no fire even on two different ecus and different coils.

well we finished up this swap this past week, and ironed out all the little issues here and there.all i have to say is that this car rips absolute *** for a stock setup with basic mods, at 10psi the top end of this car is phenominal even on stock cams and pulls to the 7.5k redline like no other.a very impressive swap and definately worth the money, and we got this swap done for ~4.5k total...not too shabby for a bpu'ed neo.dyno sheet today hopefully, going to guess high 200's low 3's on 10psi.

Congrats man! Glad to hear it is fully out of your driveway! Can't wait to see the sheet! What all 'basic mods' are done to it? (other than what are seen - FMIC, cone filter, exhaust)

i'll try to get the sheet up later but car made 250whp@6psi on the stock turbo (spikes to 8 but then drops)...so its got quite a bit of potential.the basic mods are all that you can see...cept for the 20 actuator swap, i think the reason we're seeing such poor boost response out of a known 10psi actuator is because of the factory cast turbo elbow.

Ok since theres a bunch of neo'ers in this thread i want to ask a few questions:

-Is there a Power FC for the neo? If not what other plug and play standalones are there? What are you guys running on your neos

-This is a question for you Carl H: I understand the rb25det ECU will not accept a rom tune at all. Do you know if the neo ECU is any different?

-What can one do if their swap doesnt come with a MAF? The neo will only accept a neo MAF and theyre super rare arent they?

Edit: Also heres a really noobish question. Im assuming that IC piping is aluminum right? did you tig or mig it? Im kinda interested in learning how to weld my own crap.

yes the Power FC was made for the NEO and i am running one, and i am also running a Z32 MAF as well...my setup didnt come with either the MAF or the ECU so i improvised and went another route.

Carl,

Where did you get the intercooler? Can you provide me measurements?

Thanks!

I hate the plastic cover. But I bet she pulls hard at topend in a s13. Stock pull on my 25 felt too good to be true, I thought it definatly had aftermarket cams in it since it pulls twice as hard a high rpms... You can get more power out of it with the stock actuator probably. Boost falling off at that low of a level is a little weird...

I've only done 2 Seafoam green 240's, KA-T and SR, probably was Top Hats mounts.

+1 - What kind of intercooler is that?

EDIT: I found it, but what are the dimensions of that one? Did you have to cut anything?

intercooler is the ebizzle special, cheap and very effective...definately reccomend this route over the 30' of pipework normally required.a few more pics of the finished product:
