Considering selling my '92 Vert. Yeah, I know, I just got the darned thing. (Ok, a little over a year ago..)

Anyway, since I've moved and started a new job, I'm traveling a lot and really don't have the chance to drive it. It's shame to let it st.

Since I've had it, I had a few issues, but believe that I've got them all worked out.

Had an overheating problem (never let it get hot to the point of damaging anything serious) that eventually turned out to be a combination of bad radiator (cracked end tank) and failing water pump. One of the casualties of the heat was the spacers on the injectors, so all four injectors were replaced with matched/balanced stock-rate units from DeatschWerks. Radiator was replaced with a stock-like aftermarket unit with metal end tanks, water pump, thermostat, radiator cap are all new. Factory belt-driven and electric A/C fans both replaced with dual-Altima setup.

Compression test shows all cylinders to be a bit low, but not unexpected for a motor with 160k on it. Adding a little oil to each cylinder brings the compression up to spec - (i.e. rings are worn, not blown headgasket or valve trouble).

Front end wobble fixed with new T/C rods and bushings.

New tires, Kumho daily-driver type. Nothing fancy.

S14 seats, good-to-fair condition - about what you'd expect in a '95-'96 daily driver.

New carpet (not installed), comes with.

New battery.

Cheap ("Dual" brand) CD/MP3 stereo with XM Radio.

Top is in good shape, some discoloration along where the rails ride, window has some fogging (but still pretty good visibility).

Minor body dings here and there, nothing major. One spot of rust coming through near rear wheel well.

Car has been painted at some point, I'm assuming that it was involved in some minor collision. I really don't know the history of it. The car drives straight, though.

Looking for advice on what you guys think it might be worth. Located in Dallas / Fort Worth area of Texas.

Ideas?

Thanks guys!

- Dave

Hmm, it sounds a lot like my vert when I bought it, minus the possible collision and repaint. Maybe 2 grand or so for it? Since you're down in TX, I assume it has no rust, so that's a plus. Not to mention that area is more vert friendly, so maybe the price would get upped a bit. Maybe list for 2500, get talked down a bit from there?

I'd list it for $3000 and see what happens. Sounds like you've done a nice job maintaining it. The miles are a little high, and having some rust hurts.. The paint work and the discoloration on the top might be a small detraction as well..

But overall.. sounds like a marketable car. I don't see why you couldn't get $3k for it. It's the right time of the year to sell a vert.

Alright guys, this thing is officially going up for sale.

Once I had everything worked out again, the temp spiked and it started running rough again. I haven't pulled the injectors, but I'm guessing it warped the spacers again.

I just don't have the patience or time to deal with the thing anymore.

Given it's overall condition, the new cooling system, new carpet, S14 seats, good top, good condition BOOT, etc, I'd like to get $2k for it.

If you know anyone looking for an easy vert project, have them get in touch with me.

Located in Fort Worth, TX.
