curious about coilover noises

ive had my coilovers for a while now and they make creaking noises when going over bumps. i have been told that this is just the pillowball mounts but it is still a little unnerving. also i waswondering because i didnt use the gaskets that came with the stock struts, maybe this has somthing to do with it? anyway does everyone elses make creaking sounds? thanks.

I think it might have something to do with the rubber piece thats on your stock springs that I think are susposed to be put back on the after market ones...I think.....

you should set the car down, and loosen the bolts that go through your lower control arms and bushing. then shake the car up and down to break the bushing loose. sometimes they get stuck, and with the car lowered it will twist these bushings so that they sqeak and get torn. as least thats what one of my professors told me the other day lol

http://www.pdm-racing.com (shameless plug for a great company) has some wrap-arounds to quiet the dead coils. they are cheap and might solve your problem.

Mine make a weird noise too when I got over a bump, but oh well. Mine only do it when I go over a big bump, so I'm not worried.

I have noticed the same thing, especially now that the weather is getting colder outside. The front end makes a creeking sound whenever I go over speed bumps especially. Should I just not worry about it?

i wouldnt care if they made more noise than my fart can exhaust IF thats what they were supposed to sound like. Just making sure nothing is busted

if its a creaking noise when ever yur going over a bump then it is the bushing happens to alot of cars after they are lowerd.
