Hi, I'm new here just got an '89 240sx for my daily driver, had a quick question: has anyone made a cupholder for this car? I don't mean one of the Pep boys ones, but say something like a way to turn the compartment between the two front seats into a cupholder. I've searched on this topic and seen a fair number of negative responses to cupholders, please just skip that sort of thing if you have nothing useful to say.

you can take out the coin holder/ash tray in the middle and it turns into a pretty useful single holder for up to 1 liter bottles.

look for import auto parts shops that carry Japanese accessories. i bought a cupholder that hangs off the air vent, so it can keep the drink hot or cold. it works surprisingly well; was able to hold a medium drink stable in corners. when folded up it is a cell phone holder, cupholder when folded down.
