Yes it can be done, but why not take a aftermarket one? You'll get better features on it, better sound setting and sound quality.

I would go aftermarket if I was you, but if you got a dirt cheap deal on a oem one, got for it. Get yourself the pages of the FSM for the cube and compare plugs and wires.
