A friend of a friend of mine is selling his CTS-V so he asked me to take some pictures today before he trades it in.

It's an '04 6 spd Supercharged LSX. Dyno'd at 462 wheel hp. It has a Kenny Bell supercharger on it. It came with the car when he bought it. It's got 64k miles on it now. He plans to sell it or trade it in on a twin turbo C6.

It's a blast to ride in. I didn't get to drive it. :(

He gave it a good wash and clean while I was on my way over.

We took it to a few places around Memphis and took some shots.

The brakes are ridiculous.

He asked specifically for this shot after seeing ti for my Z and RJ's 240. Guess it's becoming one of my trademarks.

The company that owns the field came over to ask us to leave when i was taking these pics. After I explained that I'm registered with the Memphis Film and TV Commission, they let us finish the shoot. :) Sometimes paperwork pays off.

Needs moar black. :naughty:

If I had a CTS-V, the first mod I'd do would be a DRL delete. Those huge amber DRLs look like SH@T. I don't know WHAT Cadillac was thinking when they decided to go with that look for them.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Love it.

And for whatever reason, I've always liked the amber lights on that generation CTS.

Well... it is for sale. He's going to trade it in for $25k. And we are just down the river. He has the oem wheels with street legal drag slicks on them too.

Good stuff. The 1st-gen V is destined to become a collectors item - mark my words.

Whats it do in the 1/4? I have 448 RWHP and am running 12.8 @ 113 mph on street tires with huge traction problems

I'm going over to his house today to wire an R34 Neo into an S13. I'll ask while I'm over there.

He said the best he ever ran was 13.4 on the street tires, and he was still having wheel spin issues in 3rd as he crossed the line. He never had a chance to run it with the slicks on.

that is still very fast. Traction is the enemy of every car with over 500 hp at the crank. Full throttle in 1st at the strip in my car makes it wheel hop so hard it turns off the fun mode itself. If Ieave at 1/4-1/2 throttle and baby it through 1st I'm hooked up in the middle of 3rd can use full throttle in 2nd but still dancing a bit. All the 1/4 tracks in PHX are closed now. :tisk:
