CTS different sizes??

I bought a new cts yesterday and the end that goes into the coolant are two different sizes. The plugs are identical and the threads are identical, but the new one has a bigger end on it. Is this going to affect anything???

Well they must have gave me the wrong part, cause the car ran like sh** with that cts they gave me. It barely start and barely ran, and it poured black smoke out of the exhaust. I put the old one in, and it ran pretty good. Back to the parts store I go.

could of been a different range. sounds like they might have given you the dry head temp sensor instead of the coolant jacket sensor.
