They were stock components on the 3sgte MR2 (MKII). This turbo was good up to around 325ish on the 3sgte. Seems like one guy made 350...Hyde. That's the guy. Do a google for JekylandHyde racing. You'll find a pair of pretty impressive MR2's.

Oh, by the way, the flange is NOT T3/T4, and they have a divided tang turbine housing. So, you'll need to have a manifold made to match the divide and flange.

You shouldn't even bother, to be honest, if you're not going to use a manifold designed to run a divided tang turbine housing. You'll suffer from decreased flow by using a manifold with a big open single outlet trying to go into two smaller, divided inlets.

The turbo is good for the power you're trying to make, however. I'm not sure if it's acheivable at 7psi on the setup you're planning to run. You might end up having to run more boost to overcome the design flaws in the system.

I saw a 2.3l mustang with the holset turbo, he was making over 400 hp out of it. For the size of the turbo he claimed to have quick spool up. I've heard good things about the turbo from Volvo guys as well. You might find more info about the turbo on turbobricks.com. They should be readily available as they are the OE equipment on Dodge Cummins powered trucks.

if your still interested I have a CT26 turbo from a MKIV Supra with 50k miles. its the secondary turbo from that engines sequential turbo system. The secondary turbo is a bit larger than the primary turbo. The person upgraded to bigger turbos.

email me at [email protected]

imho if the holset is similar to a GT30R then its way bigger than you need since your going for around 250rwhp. Also alot of people have different opinions on how fast a turbo spools.
