Hey guys, a few folks in the 240sx General boards are itchin' for a SoCal meet, and I figure this is a good place to talk about it.

I'm down just about anytime after December 16th (end of finals!) for some kind of meet, and I know a few others are too. Post up if you're down.

Venues, anyone?

As long as its not on a weekend, or the date is set weeks ahead in time (so I can request a day off).

LOL @ gabossie. Yeah man, you bring the jack, jackstands, burgers and beer and you got yourself a clutch.

EDIT: And the tools. Don't forget the tools. If you don't bring tools, you should bring porno or parts to trade for tools.

We should probably get an idea of where we want to meet. As some of you might already know, I'm willing to go pretty far for "local" meets.

Any ideas on good places?

Well, how about using the same park from last time? As I recall there was already a grill there and plenty of seating room. And most people were able to make it I think.

Almansor park I think it was?

Yeah, that was a nice location... it was especially cool how we totally crashed that church group's weekend BBQ! LOL.

I'm up for that drive. Red coupe, we can caravan down there (along with anyone else from VC) and it'll be a nice ride if we time it right. If possible, we should try and take off a weekend day and do it then, considering traffic on the 101.

Any other ideas? Anything nearer to the Northridge/Reseda area? Chuck?

Man, a meet sounds go0d. It'd be nice to meet some of you guys here on Nico!

I'm up for a drive, but I gotta get my 240 goin. There's an open in the wiring to the alternator.. gahh... sooo much wiring... i hate it.

Either that, or I could drive a van. lol

I'm up for a meet just about anywhere. Reseda / Northridge area would be better for me, and probably everyone else.

If it's going to be a weekday meet, I'd prefer it within the next 2 weeks before school starts.

Okay, how bout this.

First of all, let's get down a date and location.

Suggestions please!

Then we make a list of who is going to attend, and everyone in a radius of maybe 5-10 minutes away from each other can meet somewhere and caravan it together to the location of our choice.

Sound go0d guys?

I don't know much about meets, or about how many people come so... beats me about location, any suggestions guys?

Also, for the guys living in the Northridge area, I say we meet up at Lollicup.. mmm... boba...

Why don't you guys just invade another meet? hahaha.

There's TAB Tuesdays every week in Walnut. you can find out about it on http://www.tougepirates.com i think, the founders of the meet are on that board.

Anyway, now that I'm done being an *** , if you guys don't come up w/ a BBQ thingy, the meet where TAB Tuesdays is (just a suggestion, cuz that's the only one I know that is consistent) is in a food plaza, so lots of food everywhere for everyone's taste and no one gets hosed over (i.e. one or two ppl always end up having to cover freeloaders/underpayers - sad, but happens way too often).

There's also that other meet that was at a pizza place weekly or monthly at some pizza joint in Huntington Beach.

If you guys are planning a BBQ, I know a lot of ppl were @ the last Mile Square one, then there were a couple up in LA area.

Why not try to invade a Meguiar's detail day on a saturday co joining in another grp? - there's free lunch in it too, hoo hoo.

yeah sure, weekday sounds fine, but can we get an exact date? I wanna be able to get someone to fill that day in for me. (In n' Out... lolz)

anyways, a BBQ sounds go0d, but I know something is gonna go wrong... like no one showing up with anything, something of that nature.

Crashin another meet sounds go0d to me.. but i wouldn't use the word "crash" it's more like... attending a meet uninvited with a group of friends you just met... hahaha

How about the first week in January? If the weather is expected to be decent (and this IS California) why not rub it in everyone else's faces and have a meet in Malibu? What about Santa Monica? I know Malibu is pretty chill about their municipal beaches (not like Zuma though, I mean the little sheit cliffside beaches along PCH) so that'd be easy to do.

I'm pretty handy with a grill, so unless we wanted to get food elsewhere (which is fine, really) I can get some dogs or burgers going...

Heh, yeah, a beachside BBQ the first week of January. Very Cali.

Sorry guys, I'm exhausted and have been down for the count this last week. Flu season sucks. I'm still up for a meet in the first few weeks of the new year, so I'm just tryin' to get the ball rolling.
