cryo treat sr transmission or do 300zx transmission

well... just wondering which would be the best bang for the buck... i am only shooting for 450hp soo i was thinking the cryotreated sr20 transmission would hold up to a 2-step launch on slicks... any ideas comments would be great.....

supposedly there alot of stregth that gets added to the trannie when you cryotreat it... just seeing if anybody has done it

my friend in town cryoed his maximas trani and ran it on a pretty factory engine..he just did it in prep for his 700 hp vg30det. i cant tell you how it held up cause he still doesnt have the vg30 back from the machine shop

Does a 300zx transmission even fit a sr20 motor?Iv never heard of anyone doing this to there car.I just helped my friend do a clutch on he's Z and the shaft that goes into the back of the motor is a lot bigger then the sr's.

yes ther eis 2 shops that make adapter plates for the trannie

S14MARK is working on doing a 300zx transmission swap too.....I guess ill have him make a post on it when it is completed,I know of one thing,he said you need a custom driveshaft to make it work.....I will ask him next time I see him what shop is doing it for him.

The shop is Mazworks or Mazworx or something like that. Its located in Orlando and the kit is not available for purchase yet but it is currently being tested in a daily driven SR. Last price point I read was $800 plus YOU supply the Z32 transmission.

the z32 transmission would be alot stronger....but can't our transmission hold up to like 500 rwhp? doesn't seem like it would be worth it...

My SR20 transmission doesn't like even 315hp and I've been told that at 400hp you start having alot of transmission issues.
