eh Ive found crutchfield to be really overpriced. I got a sub there and found somewhere where i could get it 50 cheaper, I also bought an amp from somewhere else half the price of crutchfield, same with another sub.Just my 2 cents.

maybe we can arrange a group buy for all the 2.5 owners to get 3.5s (not insulting the 2.5s)

man....I thought about getting the 3.5. But then I said to myself, I dont need the speed and damn gas prices arent gonna go down. Living in Hawaii is so damn expensive too. So I decided to get the 2.5.

I wasnt insulting the 2.5, there are plenty of good reasons for people to buy the 2.5

It was more of a crack on the group buy frenzy

Um, how cheap are you trying to find that? Even at $700 at crutchfield, that unit is a steal. There are so many useful features on the w205 that make it better than virtually any other ~$700 double din unit. Anywhere that sells these will be dropping the price slightly now that the IVA-W505 is out and will be replacing the 205. If you want to go too much cheaper than that, you're going to have to go used/eBay.

naw man a coworker was telling me some places go for like $650 and told me to look online cuz its cheaper than buying from a shop down here in hawaii. I called up a shop yesterday and got quoted $750 for jus the unit. But then again, he might have just over exaggerated on the price a bit. As for Ebay, I dont really trust buying electronic stuff from there. But damn, if $700-$750 is a good deal then I guess Ill have to go with that.

Amazon.com has the Alpine IVA-W205 starting at $555 new. I've been thinking about getting one too if I can sell my 4wheeler

Check out the ebay prices and when you find one you like post it up here and let us check it out. I have bought lots of electronics off of ebay all good and all with plenty of savings including a head unit. Check out the ebay stores with plenty of good history and if they have a website run a search on better business bureau for them.thats just my .02
