Well, our cars are not getting any younger, and all of those connectors all around the engine bay are getting brittle. Is there a correct or safe way to disconnect them? I am talking about those ones on all the injectors, temp. sensor, the two on the AAC, etc. I've already broken the one on my temperature sensor and would like to avoid any more loose connectors due to cracking or breaking them in process of servicing the engine electronics.

If my description is still unclear, I mean the ones that have the little metal retaining clip that seems to make it impossible to take off.

Those are very annoying lol. I used a flat head screwdriver and put it under the metal clip and pulled the plug out it worked a coupel times for me and i havent broken any connectors. just my 2 cents

Yeah, that's the best I've been able to come up with too. There are some of those connectors that are well obscured so the screwdriver doesn't have as much clearance for manuvering, and herein lies my problem. The ones on the AAC namely.

If you have a grinder buy a cheap *** tiawan made flat head screw driver. And grind it down thin. i didnt explain fully what i did but after i grinded one down and it slid under all the ones easily. I made the first nissan clip pull off tool lol.
