Cruise light stays on. ON/Off switch does not work.

Just purchased a 1998 Q45t with 42k miles. Car is extremely clean, with the exception of one problem. The cruise control light stays on and can not be switched off. The cc operates properly, but the on/off switch does not work. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Try a new switch before replacing the cruise control computer module........it should go off each time you hit the brake........?

Thanks. The other buttons controling the cruise work fine. The set, cancel resume and accelerate bottons operate as they should. It's just the main on/off button that seems to be stuck in the on position. The cruise and also be cancelled with the brake.

I called Infiniti of Scottsdale and they can have the switch to me by next week (special order).

The only concern I have about ordering the switch is not knowing how difficult it is to install. Has anyone change this switch before?. Where is is located? How difficult of a job is it? I am fairly handy with other diy jobs.

The switch should simply pull out. Its a plug and play affair.
