cruise control

Just wanted to know if anyone knew how to use the cruise control in a 90 240sx cuz i cant seem to figure this out the cruise light on my dash is on but it doesnt seem to be working.

hitting the "set/coast" triggers the cruise, and holding the "resume/accel" down increases your speed. You may have to hold it down for a couple of seconds before it kicks in. I mean the "resume/accel". Hope this helps.

Ive tryed that before and it didnt seem to work. when i pushed the set coast button the cruise light on the gauge cluster turns on but its not working. i will try doing it again i think it might be broken. any more ideas.

first turn the cruise on by hitting the button on the left of the steering wheel, it should have a little green light on it, if not the bulb is burnt out or there is a problem. Then use the set button on the wheel to set it, if your car is a manual make shure your cluch is up all the way, you may have to pull it up with your foot to get the final bit of slack to make contact with the swich thats on the cluch pedal, one way to check that is to get your head down where the cluch pedal is and press and slowly release the cluch and see if it returns all the way and presses the swich down. I see your light is on so another thing I would do is check the vacuum hoses on the cruise controll actuator under the hood.

thanx for the help i was able to find my problem the vacuum hose was disconnected and just hanging there. now my cruise control works
