sorry for all the newb posts but it's how ya learn. i've been searching and can't find much conclusive info on this. i have an s14 with rb25 dropped in and the ka lower harness. anyway i'm trying to reinstall the cruise and make it work but the only problem is i'm missing the plug for the throttle cable pump under the hood. guess whoever did the harness cut it out? i looked in the passenger kick and the control module is still there and the cruise light turns on when the button is turned on. so should i just need to hardwire the pump back to that control box? is there anything else i need to make sure is working or isn't missing before i try it all out? will cruise even work with the rb? thanks again for input

You're gonna need to wire that into the F3 plug. You will have to check it out and see what is cut, but the ASCD wires are what you will need to look for.

I have mine hooked up on my S14 RB20. I just had to add the pulley to the throttle body. I stole it off my KA.

I'm not sure if the RB25 already has the cruise pulley there or not.

thanks for the info. i take it the f3 plug is for the control module in the kick panel? so i should be able to just run fresh wires direct from the module and hardwire it then? so no issues? surging or anything? everything else works well? guess i've got a little welding to do too! LOL i DO happen to have a KA tb here too! LOL i'll have to check fitment though since i have a q45 thorttle body

The F3-M63 plug is a connector in the passenger footwell. It connects the chassis harness to various things like Cruise, Dash, etc. Take a look in the FSM you may be able to wire it directly to the cruise control module but I think once you trace the wires back to where they were cut they will run to the F3 plug.

i replied to you email robbie...the q45 throttlebody is not redily cruise control compliant, the vh45 uses a seperate pulley system that both the cruise and accelerator linkages actuate which then moves a cable to actuate the throttle body...convoluted yes but when you see how much crap is attatched to the vh throttle body it makes sense.

thanks for the reply carl i'll be emailing you back tomorrow.

i see what you're saying. it's those ones with like a bar that both cables link into then a single cable comes off it and goes to the throttle pulley. so then i guess the easiest way is to add a pulley as shown above?

thanks for all the help guys. i'm sure i'm gonna have more dumb q's! LOL

i know this is a super super old thread, but did anyone have any luck with the rb25 and cruise control? i have a q45 tb as well, so i might have to do the welding a pulley on too.
