Same thing here, like head start I figured I was doing something wrong. I'm just too lazy to look in my owners manual.
Forgot that I brought it in today. This is from the original 1993 Owner's ManualTo turn on the cruise control, push the main switch on. The "ON" light will come on.To set at cruising speed, accelerate your vehicle to the desired speed, push the SET/COAST switch and release it (Type A), or push down the cruise control lever and release it (Type B). (The "CRUISE" light will come on.) Take your foot off the accelerator pedal. Your vehicle will maintain the set speed.
Type A is for the controls on the steering wheel. The manual goes into other things like passing vehicles, canceling, reseting, resuming, etc.
