Cruise control.....

My cruise control refuses to work.. When i bought the car and had it for a while it worked good.. When I used the brake it would blink, but thats because the brake lamp switch is bypassed..... But then it stopped setting

So i turned the switch on, and after a while of driving it starts blinking.. If you hit the brake, or one of the steering wheel buttons it turns off, but will start blinking...

When im stopped and have the button on, as soon as i go over 30mph it will start blinking.....

One time after this started (about 3 weeks ago) i did get it to work.. I try every day, and it only worked that one time...

Any ideas???

u replace the cruise relay switch and break light switch?? both activated by brake pedal that is what i did when mine was intermittant then not working cheap switches 5 minutes each

Id like to get my cruise control...

Very rarely it comes back to life and generally works until i shut off the car.....

I'm not sure about the Q, but on my J I replaced the cruise light switch on mine with a new one from the dealer(the one in the dash and not on the wheel) and the cruise started working again.

Wes: I had the same problem on my 94, and replaced the "automatic speed control cancellation switch" for about $11. It is the switch that is activated by the brake pedal, and is under the steering wheel. An easy try, just takes a 10mm wrench.

Hmmm i have to order parts anyway...

Its not the switch thats on the brake pedal by the stop lamp switch, is it???
