Cruise control set is blinking

Recently my versa hesitated to go when I pressed the gas pedal. I checked the transmission oil and it is clear and good. However, I discovered my stop lamps are all failed when I pressed the brake pedal. I changed the bulbs and they did not work too. After I changed the stop lamp switch on the pedal, all the lamps worked and it also solved the problem of hesitation but the cruise control lamp is on and the set is blinking. Please help. What is the problem?

The problem seems solved. I pressed the contact of the cruise control brake switch several times. And there is no light on and back to normal. I suspected the contact is kind of sticky before.
