Well, I'm driving down the beltway with my cruise control then I head onto a ramp and when I got off my indicator started blinking and wouldnt stop. I had to pull over and turn the car off. I will be taking it to the dealer for this this week but if I could avoid paying whatever it is they will make me pay I would like to. Please let me know what the blinking set indicator means.

Here are some reasons as to why what you experienced may happen:

Condition AThe buzzer sounds and the Intelligent Cruise Control system is canceled automatically in the conditions described below. Part of the system display will come on or blink, making it impossible to set.

When the VDC is turned off. When the VDC operatesWhen a tire slipsWhen strong light (sunlight, etc.) is directly shining on the front of the vehicle

Action to take for Condition A:When the conditions listed above are no longer present, turn the system off using the Intelligent Cruise Control ON/OFF Switch. Turn the ICC system back on to use the system.

Condition BWhen the sensor window is dirty, making it impossible to detect a vehicle ahead, the ICC system is automatically canceled.

Action to take for Condition B:If the warning light comes on, park the vehicle in a safe place, turn the engine off. Clean the dirty parts with a soft cloth and then perform the settings again

Condition CWhen the ICC system is not operating properly, the buzzer sounds and the system warning light (Orange) will come on.

Action to take for Condition C:If the warning light comes on, park the vehicle in a safe place. Turn the engine off and then perform the settings again. If it is not possible to set or the indicator stays on, it may indicate that the system is malfunctioning. Although the vehicle is still drivable under normal conditions, havethe vehicle checked at an authorized INFINITI retailer.

Ok, call me retarded. I glanced throught it the first time I read it but did get a chance to try it when i got home. But today i read it and got a chance to really look at it. I don't have ICC on my car so i dont think any of the scenarios you listed will help me. But thanks. The noise has stopped now.

I had the same issue recently. When I pressed the cruise button the set light started blinking and cruise control would not engage.

Later I saw my brake (stop) lights on when car was parked and engine off. I did some searching and there is a plastic stop on the brake pedal which broke off. As a result the brake switch was not engaging. I glued a penny in lieu of the plastic stop and both issues went away.
