I have a 1990 Q45 with 245k on it. Whenever I put the cruise control on in the Q it works for anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. Then it suddenly stops. The green light on the display (not the light to the left of the steering wheel) shuts off and whenever I try to turn it back on the green light on the display starts blinking and the cruise still won't work. Eventually the light won't even turn on for the rest of the trip. My mechanic says he thinks it's the servo but what do you think? Thanks for your help.

Just wondering if anyone had any insight into my problem. Thanks in advance.

Do you have the factory service manual? If so check out EL-101 and the next few pages. From what I can tell the servo is controled or powered by a vacuum hose and the flashing light when you describe is probably related to a vacuum leak. Check out EL-111 for details... if you don't have a manual let me know and I'll try to walk you through it...

I don't have a manual so I haven't been able to check to see if it is the servo or the computer. Also, the parking brake light on the right side on the display is on but I think I need a new master cylinder because I know I'm leaking a litle fluid.
