My cruise control has been acting up and can't figure it out. I can flip the switch and hit set and the light in the dash will come on but as soon as I let off the pedal the light starts to blink and I slow down.

Either the sensor behind the brake pedal or if a manual, behind the clutch pedal have gone out.
