Can't be done as far as I know!kmilbrad94 wrote: Ok, I was in a bit of a hurry to work today and I wanted to set my cruise control at 100 MPH but as it turns out you cant set it above 90 MPH. Does anyone know how to make it so that I can change that setting to a higher MPH?
.....i think that is what the "brake assist" is if im not mistaken.kmilbrad94 wrote: the M seems to put on the breaks. Is this normal???
Come on really? You don't think while recklessly driving you should have your feet on the pedals? 90 is pretty generous for CC operation, pay more attention when you are driving. Driving like that sets a bad precedent for the other speeders out there.kmilbrad94 wrote: Ok, I was in a bit of a hurry to work today and I wanted to set my cruise control at 100 MPH but as it turns out you cant set it above 90 MPH. Do you have ICC? if so there is no way to defeat the system unless the laser is in failsafe mode. How are you activating the "normal" cruise? The Ms algorithms upshift and apply the brakes when set speed, or distance limits are exceeded. The early model Intelligent Cruise Control can actually apply ~80% brake force when a decrease in speed is required.kmilbrad94 wrote: And here is another one, My M seems to put the brakes on even when the active cruise control is off and I am using the normal cruise. Most cars that I have had would only drop rpm's if it hit a point where it is going over the set speed, but the M seems to put on the breaks. Is this normal???
I am trying that tonight!!! How do you know it's in normal mode?kmilbrad94 wrote:When I go to work there is nobody on the road so Im ok with a faster CC. And as for how to set the Normal Cruise control all you have to do is hold down the CC button on the steering wheel for 5 seconds and it goes from Active CC to Normal CC. oh well, thanks for the help anyway.
I want to learn something new today also... can you explain what interacting with the NAV would entail, and what zero speed CC is?SteveTheTech wrote:Huh you learn something new everyday.
Why would you want to deactivate the ICC? I love that feature. In the near future when it interacts with the NAV and zero speed CC the only that the driver will have to do is steer.
Until they can make it a little less aggressive I can't use it. My roads that I travel have curves and even with no traffic the VDC acts on the ICC and slows the car for turns it doesn't have too. Also around those turns I have to be very careful of the cars in the other lanes because they are registered as in my lane and in front of my so the ICC will slam on the brakes unnecessarily then it realizes there is no one in front of me then it hits the gas to get back up to speed.SteveTheTech wrote:Huh you learn something new everyday.
