Umm well my gf and I were going to Nashville the other day and we get on the interstate and I get ready to set the cruise at 78-80mph as usuall when.....nothing happens. The "cruise" light comes on, but the car doesn't stay at the fixed speed. Also I can hear the cruise computer clicking when I press the set button or turn it on or off. Any ideas whats wrong? Or did it just decide to kick the bucket on me?

Check the vacuum running to it just to be sure though.

Vaccuum line, actuator, wiring connections, etc. My guess is it's the cruise control actuator, that kind of thing does tend to go out first. You can easily find a replacement at the junkyard, or you can buy a whole new cruise control system for about $100 (I did this to my base model S13). Also, I live in Nashville over the summer and would be happy to help you if there's anything else you need done.

Whats up dude. Nice to finnaly see some one in here who lives in my state, anyways on to your issue. My 91 SE had the same problem when I bought it. the light would come on like it was set but it would decelerate. the vacume line that feeds into the cruise air pump was dry rotted at the connection. All i did was trim about 1/2" off the hose till I got it back to the non brittle part, reconnected it and Viola!!.

I had the same problem with my 91 240.. The Clutch Master Cylinder was going out and it let the clutch pedal sit back just far enough to hit the cruise control cutoff.. This may be the same problem...Or your clutch fluid may be low... Make sure your clutch Pedal us pulling all the way up... Hope this helps.

Thanks alot for the reply's guys. I'll check the vaccuum line and I'll check my clutch pedal just to be sure.

trpower7 hopefully over the summer I'm going to be doing some body work. I had a wreck last year and instead of replacing everything I'm just gonna get a silvia front end, your help would be greatly appreciated :D

A_Rivers, I've heard of White House before but I can't place it, where is it located??

There's a 1/4 mile track here where I live, we should all get together and have like a mini meet lol.

It's (White House) about 15 Miles north of Nashville. Your close to Jackson aren't you? I'm trying to remember what track is down there.. Mini meet:Werd. I just saw a 240 fastback in Nashville that had the 180SX tail lights in it I wonder if he is on this forum??

I know where all you people are, I've pulled 5 front ends on and off of S13s, that front end swap shouldn't take more than an afternoon. The 240 fastback in Nashville with those tails must be new, I've never seen it before. Certainly not mine....
