I got the engine and mounts all bolted together, the drive shaft bolted up to the differential but the crossmember on the transmission will not line up with the bolts on the car and I can't figure out why... If anyone has any ideas please suggestions all welcome. And I tried to push on the crossmember forward (towards the front of the car) to help line it up (the trans mount is bolted to the trans) but it doesn't get close enough... If I need to just redrill the crossmember, that's the only idea I can think of now.

use a jack. and take the cross member off the transmission. bolt the crossmember to the car and then line it up that way.

Take a long screwdriver or pryrod of some kind, and insert it into the small hole between the bolt holes. There's also a small hole in the floorpan that you use for leverage. You can then pry the crossmember into place and start your bolts.

Thanks for all the ideas, but I got one more question in regards to the ECM. Where did yall bolt it inside the car? I tried putting it where the old on sat (right next to the passenger kick panel) but the one plug after the main harness that goes up to the brown plug near the vents, but i could not figure a way to set it up without cutting and splicing to extend the wires (I don't want to have to do that if I can avoid it). Once again, much appreciative of any and all help.

I've never had an issue with that plug giving me clearance issues. If it is, try wrestling with the plugs for a minute to see if it can come down any more. If not, then you might have to consider extending the wires (which isn't a big deal IMO)

I know it's not a big deal (I am decently good at wiring) it's just a laziness thing is all... But how is yalls ecu bolted to the car? I only have one bolt holding it in right now, it's the bottom one with the plug facing the rear of the car. I can't figure out a way to have it held in by 2 bolts. (and a picture might be a little helpful)

It's a 17mm head and I am pretty sure it's a M10X1.25 thread (like everything else on the car) with like a 25mm length give or take... put that should be the right thread cause I had to replace other 17mm bolts and that was their thread/pitch. I put in a 40mm length or a 30mm length and it fit perfectly fine (along with 2 washers and the nut to go with it.) I put the nut on the bottom side.

How would using a jack help?

jack it up into place with the jack. you can then hold it there. my jack is on wheels so i could mover it around to get it positioned correctly. if you are still having trouble lining it up you might want to unbolt you engine mounts or at least lossen them so you have some play. font bolt anything down until everything is in its place.
