crossing + & - battery wires affect:

crossed wires to the battery... blew out my ecu.

want to know if that also affects:

ignitor chip?injectors?spark plugs?

Yeah you're gonna have to test your electronics after something like that. You might get off lucky and have nothin else but the ecu roast, but other stuff could go as well.

The only way I see it possible on a 240sx is if the battery had the posts reversed.

Bingo, the 240sx uses a 24 group battery, which is also offered in a reverse configuration (24R, 24F, whatever, depending on where you go). Sorry kid, that is a tough break. You should replace any blown fuses and test the ignitor. If it starts, go through a running check on your other circuits. You also probably blew the diodes on your alternator. Also, check your A/C clutch diode (I do not have a chart in front of me, it may not exist). Diodes do not like reversals.
