I got rubber in 2nd and 3rd and it handles like its on rails, the sound system is incredible, the seats kick ***, the shifter is crisp and firm as all hell/ Heated seats kick ***..
Very solid car. It is built by Benz, the chassi and engine are benz, and so is 80% of the car, all of the running gear and drivetrain. Im still in awe at the quality and the sheer solid feel of the car.
If you get the chance to drive one do it, make sure its a 6 speed, the autos are pigs.
Uh, do you work for Chrysler? Crossfire might outhandle a 1957 vette, but certainly not a 2004/2005. Corvette is one of the best handling, most powerful mass produced cars on the planet. Do you honestly think a Crossfire, with a 215 horse low-end V-6 Benz motor in a low-end Benz platform can outhandle/outperform a 450+ horse V-8 Corvette with a race tuned suspension and extremely wide Z rated rubber. C'mon.
I will agree with you that it's likely a fun, peppy, comfortable car. But this is a car that was built to compete with a 350Z, Infiniti G, Audi TT, or Boxster, not a Corvette or Viper. Comparing a crossfire to a corvette is like comparing a Crown Vic to a Mercedes S class. Forget it.
From what I've read, Chrysler will soon introduce an SRT version of the Crossfire which will have 330hp. Still far below a Vette or Viper, but might make it more interesting.
Personally, I might go as far as test driving an SRT version, but having owned several Chryslers, including a 300M, which was one of the more comfortable cars I'ver ever owned, I'd stay far away from Crossfires as possible.
