I'm building a CA for a friend in Ontario and I'm located in Alberta.

This build is occurring to help sooth his pain from the shady dealings which took place on my CA which he was supposed to buy but got screwed by the seller only hours before I bought it.

Enjoy the pics!!

Cylinder 4:

Cylinder 3:

Cylinder 2:

Cylinder 1:

Whole head:

Various pics of all the parts:

Block waiting for me tomorrow:

Misc stuff:

Pistons:

Crank, caps, girdle, block:

Whats left of #2 rod bearing:

A little organization so I don't lose stuff and forget to put it back in. :

Throttle body:

Idle control/coolant lines:

I don't know what the previous owners used for an air filter, if any. There is raw, large sand in the intake plenum:

The four intake butterfly valves:

This is just a taste of the build-up of s*** on the intake side of this motor:

Lower intake manifold and the secondary valve components:

Head mating surface:

Block mating surface:

Where the magic happens...

And yes, that is a furnace...boo-yah heated working space.

looks like that motor was found at the bottom of a lake....... or was perviously used for mudding.

looks like you have a superb build at hand. good to see someone take it down to bare bones and rebuild EVERYTHING.

GL, in for more pics. looks like a great start.

PS dare I ask about what you are doing for EMS?

Love the rebuild. Must be a bachelor pad, most women would freak with all those car parts on their kitchen counter. What did you paint/coat your intake with? Looks nice.

It was sitting outside for 1.5 years.....

Paid $150 for it with a TON of extra parts came with it.

It's just going to be running an SR T25 at 12psi and stock fuel/ecu.

Goog, safe, fun power.

Well there have been some updates for the last two weeks.

Crate is complete minus some bracing and walls but to be done later.

Bottom end and head are assembled.

Pics, enjoy:
